Our Mission
Takoma Academy is a Seventh-Day Adventist high school welcoming all races, cultures, and religions; leading young people to Jesus Christ, providing excellence in academics and a commitment to service.
For more than a century, Takoma Academy has educated youth in the Washington, D.C. area. With a legacy of leadership, academic excellence, and service, we nurture and inspire our students to develop their God-given talents to make a difference.
Our Diploma Tracks
Learning to Lead Across a Variety of Industries & Fields
STEM Medical
Students develop the knowledge and skills to understand the human body, explore health-related careers, and use God-given gifts to promote healing, wellness, and service to others.
STEM Engineering
Integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics through rigorous coursework and unique, hands-on learning experiences, students apply their learning with divine inspiration to real-world challenges through critical thinking, creativity, and innovation.
Humanities
Students explore literature, history, language, and culture, developing critical thinking, communication, and a deeper understanding of the world through a Christian worldview.
Fine Arts
Students cultivate their God-given creativity and artistic expression through the visual and performing arts while developing skills to inspire and impact others.
Political Science
Students explore government and civic engagement, preparing to become informed and values-driven leaders committed to service.
College Preparatory
Students build the academic knowledge, skills, and independence needed to succeed in college and pursue their God-given purpose.
